How do I allow to use e-mail while Internet is blocked?

If you are using an e-mail software like Outlook, Outlook Express or The Bat, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch Surfblocker, click Exceptions.
  2. On the Allowed Services tab, make sure that the E-mail is checked.
  3. On the Allowed Programs tab, click Auto Detect.
  4. Close all programs that use internet.
  5. Click Start Learning Mode.
  6. Launch your e-mail software, receive e-mail and send one message too.
  7. Click Stop Learning Mode in the auto detection window.
  8. Review the list of items that were detected and click Allow Selected.

If you are using web browser based e-mail system like Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch Surfblocker, click Exceptions.
  2. Click to open Allowed Sites tab.
  3. Add the web site address of your e-mail service.
  4. Many sophisticated web based e-mail services consist of multiple pages with different addresses. You will need to repeat the previous step to add all the addresses involved in checking e-mail.
  5. Click OK to save settings.
